Ignition problems--Need help!

I have a 91' Toyota truck V-6, 5 spd., 4x4. I did a tuneup about 1 1/2 years ago with new plugs, wires, rotor, and distributor cap. It has run pefectly ever since. The only thing I've noticed is a split-second loss of power that occurs once a week or less. I tried to start it up the other day. It turned over fine, but it would not start. A mechanic buddy came over and we confirmed it was getting air and fuel. After using his ohm meter, he guessed it was either the coil or ignition module. He said a lot of people he works with more familiar with Toyotas guessed it was the module. Well, today I replaced the module and it still won't start. I really can't afford to keep throwing parts at this truck. Any suggestions?

Wiring gremlin!

That aside, are you getting spark too? Jumper any diagnostic codes?
