I was told except for the plugs the newer style and older style igniters on the 22rec will work I have a female friend with the mid- nineties engine.

We think the igniter went I have known good ones.

Just wanted to confirm before all the soldering and such.

There are 3 different igniters for my 88 22RE, Cali. Each has differing plugs and number of wires from the igniter to the harness.
Match the part number on the igniter and you should be fine.
