Idle slows to much when hot

Last summer after the truck gets hot it wants to idle to low. It runs fine until it get hot then the idle will slow to 400 to 500 rpm's. Once cooled of the idle is fine till it gets hot again. The winter is a little better, takes longer to warm up, but same problem. The temp gauge is jumping around also, kinda like a short in the wire?
Thanks, Mike

you might try using the idle adjustment screw, and searching.

check the coolant lines for the TB, mine had a similer condition and it turned out to be scale that was dislodged during my rebuild in the line towards the back of the block.

used my air comp to clear the blockage. i recomend draining the coolant system all the way or run a line to a bucket from the forward hose unless you want a shower.

just something to check
