bed is leaning back

alright so my bed is leaning back compared to the cab. the gap between the cab and the bed starts out about a half inch and at the top it's more like an inch. what could be causing this. the frame doesn't look to be bend or cracked anywhere, i was thinking maybe the body bushings were more crushed in the back but they all seem to be crushed the same amount.

I think there's only four or eight bolts holding the bed on. Take the bed off or loosen the bolts, shift the bed a bit and see if you can line it up again.
We can only see what you tell us about your truck.
Crawl underneath it and see if the frame is bent. Grab a chunk of line and pull it tight, compare that to the frame.

the frame doesn't look to be bent at all, there's no wrinkle or crack anywhere.

sounds like bushing have fallen out or mushroomed..
did this just start or was it like this when you bought the truck? Oh wait this is the one to replace the 81 that some oxygen thief stole right?
TFE might not have been too far off. someone removed the bed or started too and failed to put the rear mounting bushings/bolts back in correctly.

it sounds like either the bushings or maybe bent mounts on the bed? you ever get your 81 back? i've been keeping an eye out for it!

It was like it when i bought it, but i lowered that back so its almost level but the bed makes it look squat.
And ya this is the 94.
Nope never got it back
Yah we should get together sometime, i need to do some stuff to my truck before it's wheelable though

Mine did the opposite and went forward, it was the frame, while it didn't have a crack it was rusted, check by the gas tank and frame.

My bed just seems to lean towards the driver side planning on doing a flat be setup but it looks like the bed supports on the bed structure seem to be bent

That's the Toyota lean, too much time spent with just a driver in the cab wears that spring and torsion bar more than the passenger's side.

I'm well aware of what a taco lean is.....but the taco lean is the entire vehicle and when the frame sits level but the bed does not it is a leaning bed due to the supports

Mine is doing the same thing, the bed and cab actually touched until I put a prybar in and bent the cab and bed a little. The brackets/mounts that look like angle iron mounted to the bed is rusted and collapsing. I've thought about pulling the bed back off and building new mounts but it won't happen until I get my engine built for my other 94.

If you guys have bed mounts that are to the point of collapsing from rust I would check your frame too.

I would think you have something along the lines of this starting:

I've already replaced the rear half of my frame, I bought the truck with the damage already done. I just didn't have time to build a flat bed or find a replacement bed so I put the rusty p.o.s. back on, somebody took the time to bondo it and paint it, I might as well use it.
