idle question

Hey folks,,I hope everyone is having a good weekend. The issue I am having is that while trying to due preventive maintenance I have actually made my truck run or idle worse.I recently installed in my 89 Truck(22re) with 231k miles new plugs, wires, rotor and replaced the original distributor cap. Before it ran and idled fine. Now it runs rough at idle but smooth when I get on the gas.Any ideas.I also suspect my gas mileage has gotten worse since i drive 70+ miles to work each day and now I am gassing up every 3.5 days instead of 4....Please help....

Have you tried adjusting the idle when it's warmed up?
