Idle problem fixed thanks to you guys
For two years I had the- idle problem with the brakes on- went out backed the idle down, and no more problem. dealership charged me $450.00 and still couldn't fix. Thanks again forum.

Yep. They said it was the TPS. When I brought it back a couple of days later, they wanted to charge me again. I left and started turning wrenches on myself. Much cheaper as you well know.

Damn stealership! Thats rough man! After a few cases such as yours, I've quickly turned to these knowledgeable Yota Freaks for insight before any shops need to be involved. Like you had said before, many thanks to everyone here!

I had the same problem with the alternating idle w/ depressed brakes and turned my idle screw all the way down til it stopped, but no improvement. Noticed the rubber grommet that held the PCV into the valve cover was broken in 2. Replaced it and problem fixed for $2. I don't wanna mess with idle now. Feels good to be normal now tho. Thanks.
