Identifying EFI fuel tank?
I thought I had posted this before but can't find the thread anymore. So I probably dreamnt about yotatech and posting this question, if not please forgive me =)
Anyone tell me how to identify an EFI fuel tank? I have a carb tank but ya see its under the bed of my truck and I cant really see it to well =P
However I'm trying to figure out if this 87 frame i got had the 22r or 22re. Im gonna do the truck (cab swap) onto it this summer and the EFI conversion at the same time. If this tank is still good, ie not rusted out (the hoses are shot) and its an EFI tank ... not sure what makes them different? The pump right? .. I have a feeling the tank is shot tho since the hoses are open and cracked and its been outside for god knows how long.
Otherwise I'll keep my carb tank and redo the fuel lines and put an inline pumpe. =/

thats a carbed tank.
EFI tanks have a bigger opening for the fuel pump, as well as wires coming out of the top of the pump bracket.
It also has more than 5 screws holding down the pump bracket.
The bracket will also have a high pressure hose coming off of it, aside from the vapor and return lines.
