My stock clutch fan failed and hit the radiator. Thank God it didn't poke a hole in it. I just rewired it this springtime and it works great, without a shroud. If the temp starts to get warm, or I'm hauling anything, I crank the heater to shed some excess heat. I have a villager fan sitting in the box brand new in my garage. I'll wire it up this winter.

I'm running a Flex-a-lite fan i snarfed out of a relatives shop. Had a fried controller I was able to fix with the help of an old alarm clock chip board :-p

Been running for a few years now and love it. I've wired it in so it cuts power to the relay when the motors off. Does a superior job of keeping the motor cool wheelin in the 100 deg heat.

As a backup I keep my stock clutch-fan in my tool box. I had a wire snap at the battery wheel'n one hot afternoon last summer and just about fried the motor before I glanced at the temp guage (lil pre occupied with the obstacle didnt notice i wasn't hearing the fan anymore)

Other than that kind of mishap/situation the fans been a nice addition. *and I've since re-done all the wiring hehe
