Question I noticed two things today...

first, is it just me, or does the cup holder pulled out make it a PITA to mess with the climate controls...

second, while leaving my house at 6:30 am, I noticed my reverse lights were being finiky... I shifted into reverse, and with the 50watt halogen bulbs, I can normally see just fine to back up with just looking through my mirrors. So I looked into my mirror and seen my reverse lights were on, so I proceeded to back up, but as soon as I took my hand off the shifter, the reverse lights turned off

I stopped and played with it for a bit, and found out that if I keep pressure on the stick, pulling back a little, the lights come on, but as soon as I release it, they go back out. It stays in gear and all, just no lights.

Now I know this is probably just the switch on the trans, but I have 2 more questions regarding that.

1st, it was in the 30's this morning. It's never done this before. Do you guys think that for some odd reason the cold would effect that switch? I don't see why it would, but there could be something I'm missing...

2nd, how much of a pain is that thing to get too. I see from pics of it that it just screws in and has the little metal button on it and a plug, but I haven't looked to see where it's located on the truck, or see what kind of access there is to it.

Thanks a bunch guys!

i also hate how my beverage gets warm so quickly because of the poor cup holder location.

that's why I favor the McDonalds styrofoam cups (you'll notice, there's one in both of those pictures, lol); they don't sweat like plastic cups in the humidity in Fl, and they insulate SOOOO much better

On the plus side, when summer gets here and the a/c is on your beverage will be nice and cool (sorry Latte drinkers this won't help you).

lmao, see! I knew that was coming!

lol, it's the adjustable shift light on the tach. Turn the key, and turn the knob on the gauge, and the needle moves to wherever you want the shift light to come on. I was just fooling around with the tach and snapped this pic. thougt it would make a good conversation-starter

that's as far as I read . . . you'll go blind
(I'm sure you were expecting that response from someone)

seriously though, I've never found a car or truck with those pull out cup holders that were worth their weight in string

lmao

their alright. the only thing that irritates me about them is their size. I love to have a big ol Gatorade, but they wont fit in the holder

of coarse, those ginormous rade-bottles don't fit in hardly ANY cup holders...

so about this reverse light switch, anyone ever messed with one???

if it's easy to do, I'll get a new one and throw it one on this weekend, otherwise I'll deal with it and throw in a toggle or something, lmao
