I need some help here!

Ok so I scanned the codes on my 95 3vze toyota pickup. I got a code 52 - Knock sensor signal--open or short in knock sensor signal--knock sensor/circuit ecu. The other day after the temperatures got increasingly warmer my truck was bucking and skipping like crazy, I changed the spark plugs which helped tremendously but I am confused to whether this code is telling me that the knock sensor has gone bad and needs replacing, or whether it is just detecting a knock being produced by something else in the engine.

Common problem is for the wire to the knock sensor to break or pull loose from the connector, especially the braided shield on the outside.

ok thanks ill have to check that, I really don't feel like removing that intake but I guess I'll have to, while its off I need to look at my fuel injectors. Any tips on figuring out if one is clogged or not without running them through a machine? guess im going to have to dig one piece further than the intake. What is that piece called that the injectors are sitting in?
