Hi everyone, I'm new on here, I have a 1990 4runner and the rear glass is out of commission. The motor still works, but the mounts that connect the glass to the regulator are rusted and no longer connected. What is the most common fix for this? Keep in mind, I'm on a budget. Thanks, Alvin

If I was you I'd just try to find a rust free tailgate from a scrap yard etc. Then you'll have a donor motor/glass etc. from your old gate in case something else happens.

 

its MUCH cheaper to just get the rails and rubber mounts than all new tailgate. Even without the discount, its only like $75 for all the pieces you need to fix it.
