I need help!!!!

I have a 95 4runner and I wrecked it about a month ago, I had somebody put it bakc together for me and when we turned it on it runs for a couple of seconds and then dies like the air or gas is cut-off. Some one please help I need to go back to work and my temporary car broke. Does anyone have a clue to what might be the problem?

WE NEED DETAILS! What exactly was done to it? Is it out of gas? Do you have pics of the engine? Which engine is it? Auto or manual tranny? Any particular noises involved in this?

Well I hit a tree and messed up the air intake system, radiator the driver's side fender, air conditioner, fan and of course the driver's side fender wheel. So I bought another 4runner jus like mine for $900 because it had the famous broken head gasket, so I got the front end off that one, and had some guy put it back together, there is no unusual noise when I turn it on it just dies. My 4runner is an auto 3.0. I dont have a pic of it when it was fixed but I have one of when it was wrecked, but I tried to send it as an attachment but it exceeds the size limit I have a pic on myspace, go here---------------------->http://www.myspace.com/jamesbarker87

I ran into a tree and I messed up the air intake system, raditaor, A/C, fan, and fenderwheel on the driver's side, so I bought a 4runner just like mine same engine and year for 900 bucks because it had that famous head gasket broken. So I had a guy use the parts I needed from that one to mine. Everything went on smoothly and when we turn it on it doesnt make any unusual sounds but it does take a lil longer to start and then about 5-10 seconds after its been started it just dies, I dont have a pic of when it was fixed but I do have one of the wreckage, I cant send it as an attachment because its too big but I do have it on myspace, go here----------------------->http://www.myspace.com/jamesbarker87

It sounds like something didn't get plugged back into the AFM; can you take a pic of the intake?

You have to use the "insert link" button on the quick reply & paste your photo URL in there; it will show up if you do the that. You can't just post an entire photo onto the board.

Nah I cant take a pic of the intake cuz my truck is 30 minutes away and I dont have a vehicle, but there seems to be a something missing on the oxygen sensor, its not the piece on the air master flow its on the plug that you plug it the AMF it looks like one of the little medal brackets(the plug) that the prong( form the AMF) goes into fall out or something. I dont know if that one is supose to be off or not.

If your intake pipe got torn or damaged the engine will be getting to much air... become confused and then die.

Check the bellows for cracks.

If the wiring harness isn't plugged into the AFM (round piece that holds the air filter), the engine WILL NOT RUN. That's your first problem. Take detailed pics of the intake assembly when you can & get back to us...

Yes. You can post to your myspace page, for example, or photobucket or putfile or whatever. Then you ref the URL in between the IMG markers.

For example, here's your myspace pic:

All I did was right click on your photo, select "copy link location" then hit the pic button in here, then paste the link location into the box. It makes the pics show up ON the board without having to go to the location.
OUCH, by the way...
