Ya thats a Hilux Vigo. In Asia, these bed side bolted-on roll bars are common. Like most on here, they are not very functional in a roll over but they aren't "dysfunctional" taking up tonnes of bed space like most of these. And they usually still look cool which is of course the important thing!

Yeah, she gets the job done.

You should see it with the quad in the back..
With that rollbar, i can barely get it in the back, and the wheels of the quad barely squeez through my wheel wells.

I went from the toolbox look:

To the light bar look:

Still kinda undecided which i like better, if i could find a tool box to go b/w my light bar that wasn't $400 i would be happier

I bought a cheep roll *opps sorry* LIGHT bar, and am in the process of making it work to my truck. I cut and widened the over head cross piece and am exstending the legs into the far back corners of the bed. Im gonna weld a cross member under the bed and over the frame front and back to help it if/when i put her on her lid. Would a cross bar from lower corner to higher corner behind the cab help enough to be worth the effort?

sorry not at home so cant post pics on the post.
Yeah i have it ratchet strapped in! so whatever.

PS: Roll Bar Complete w/ Lights

In the beginning there was mud...

Lots of mud...

And snow...

Then many years later there was almost rolling over onto the rollbar...

It wasn't too long after that the rollbar was finally put to practical use, so to speak.

Definitely had a roll bar in my 97 taco

Took it out before I sold it and I am thinking of putting it in my turbo pick up

Those roll bars IMO are more for show...real wheeling should have a real cage...4xinnovations for the win!
