its a 2wd thats lifted LOL looks like a 4wd dont it!!

i love the look of roll bars and the my '80 toyota was rolled beforei got it..and the roll bar is the only thing that protected the cab from getting completely crushed...it got a little dented but not much..the roll bar wasnt dented either and it just needed some paint

i have since sold the roll bar to pay for my X-terrains LOL tires are more important that a rollbar with lots of lights...although i do miss my "brights" since my lights are sooooo dim

I switched from the light bar to the roll cage courtesy Christian from Marlin Crawler:

Why? i guess is what i'm asking, why the need to whine and moan about rollbars, lightbars, mounting places, why this thread isn't an exoskeleton thread. clearly he's showing pictures of what most people call rollbars with lights on them. let the man post for christs sake. you want to know what a "lightbar" does in a rollover... put one in your truck and flip it off a ledge. let me know how you end up
Sorry if i sounded a little harsh, everybody's entitled to their opinions. But I have ended up on my roof already (85 4runner) and have been wheeling with 3 people who have flopped or completely rolled theirs (TJ, XJ, and 90 yota p/u). I know it's only a matter of time till my TuRD ends up on it's lid so the exoskeloton is already in the process of being built. just welded some of it up today. see my other posting in this section.....I love the cage in Toyvanas ride but I can also see he has alot of padding too. looks sick but I'm already hitting my head on the doorframe and ceiling in mine or I might have went that route too..... and toyosparo- saw ur bed build thread, awesome work and design. Just out of curiosity how much does it weigh?

i don't think i saw one 4runner in here. so i'll represent with my OEM Toyota ROLLbar, seen here under my Canback frame:

i also have a little xtra cab pickup with a hard core roll bar that has held up through MANY rolls. it's also got a removable front push bar that is practically bulletproof. i've driven it into walls and it literally bounces off without a scratch!

haha!
