So when you go driving out in public, do you cover your license plate then as well??
I never did understand the hysteria over showing a license plate.. I mean really, what can anyone do?
Nice truck though.. As soon as I can, I am going to get software to remove your block of the license plate, read the numbers and then steal it.

Very clean rig my friend, what are your plans in the long run?
Other than the bikini top, K&N and new belts?
How so?
All they can find out from the plate is the state and how current the registration is.
You'd have to run it through NCIC or the local state government to see the registered owner's information.

Not sure how I feel about the whole licence plate thing. After all, I live in a relatively small city of about 175k, and any one of them could just follow me home, wouldn't even have to worry about checking the registration.
Granted, the internet provides a potentially unlimited viewing audience, but really, how many people are going to see that pic? I'm guess a whole lot less than 175k, and the vast majority of those who do won't be anywhere near me in the first place.
I don't mock those who choose to obscure their plates though.

Beautiful truck, you won't be sorry you bought it! I don't want to Hi-Jack your thread, but I've got the mate to your truck, 86, same color, stripes are a little different except mine was a factory 22rte sr5, digital dash, etc. It came from California, to Florida, to New Hampshire where I bought it and shipped it here to Canada. Frame like the day it came off of the assembly line, only one rust spot to fix. I'm rebuilding a 22rte for it right now, bored out .040", RE head, Steed speed turbo manifold, garrett super series turbo, etc.

Right now i want to get this code 11 fixed LOL.
But i plan on getting a front and rear bumper to go off roading from time to time, and maybe a 2" lift as well. and maybe an exhaust system or headers not sure yet, since it has a fairly new ( rebuilt) engine..

I'm jealous of the rebuilt engine.
Once I get my suspension replaced on my '85 the engine and tranny will be the only two things left to do anything with.
