Hub Question

I am in search of some locking hubs for my 93 4x4 pickup (I may have already found some) and I was thinking that maybe I could just take the end cap off, the part that locks the shaft and run it like that till I get the hubs. Does anyone forsee any problems with this, of course I would cover them up with the rim hub.

WHy subject your bearings to grit, dirt, and God knows what else? Just leave everything together until you get the hubs. Do you have the ADD system with permanent lock hubs now?
