I did a search on fuses and charging /not charging.
but couldn't find the answer
I thought it would just pull straight up and out, but I ended up pulling the top off of the fuse . I have an 89 yota 4x4 that wasn't charging when I bought it( a couple days ago)
sorrry if this is a newb question but this is my first yota.

 

the wires are bolted on from underneath. There are several plastic clips around the edges that need to be released from the top. Sorta time consuming. Be careful as the case can easily be broken.

just an FYI that's the fusible link fuse, if that's blown you won't have any power in the truck at all. There is a separate 7.5amp normal blade fuse for the alt field winding's current.
