Hi guys. I have an 88 pickup. 3.0l. 4x4, 5speed. I have a good deal on a set of 35x12.5x15 KM2 mud terrains... how much lift would I need to run them comfortably?? Gunna remove the bed. So the rear isn't an issue. But trying to have room to flex and still off road While still dailying it currently. Was originally looking at a 4" rough country for now. Not financially ready for a SAS.. So what do yall run for IFS lifts with 35s? I mean worst case I just run 33s with the 4" but trying to get these 35s. Thanks
4" will definitely clear the 35s. If you you dont mind trimming, you cam make them fit with a BJ spacer. And if you REALLY like trimming, and dont mine a little rubbing, and you have the right back spaced wheel, they will fit stock.
Heres my truck from a few years ago. 35 on stock suspension with trimmed upper bump stops. 2-3" trimmed fenders, firewall severely beaten with a big hammer (dont forget to move your computer first). They rubbed a little on the body and a little on the frame.. but if your tires aren't rubbing, then you can fit bigger tires.
35s are pushing the limits of wheeling the IFS hard, so remember to go easy on the skinny pedal and keep your ball joints greased.

Gotta be the best thing I've ever heard... but I don't want to trim if I can get around it. I'm okay with a little hammering but am going to do EVERYTHING possible not to trim.
Being my daily tho I don't plan to wheel it very hard. Not till after I get another daily sometime next winter Anyways. But thanks that's all I wanted to hear. You're like the 3rd person to say that but I like to hear it from multiple people before deciding.
I'm actually thinking about the same exact thing for my 86 ifs 4Runner. It's funny, this is one of those questions I never asked because I was worried about getting flamed for not searching. Problem is I've seen about a dozen different answers!
I want to switch to 35s eventually (well, technically slightly smaller 315/75/16) and am trying to make a game plan right now. I am wondering if BJSs, a moderate tbar crank, a 1" body lift, and some bush whackers will clear the 35s.it seems the consensus is that 4-5" of lift is required. So I'm hoping BJS (1.5") plus body lift (1") plus tbar (~1.5") will be enough once I trim the fenders for the flares...

I love the sawzall special. Except on my front fenders. I REALLY like them on this thing... the only thing that'll suck is my gas mileage till about may... then it'll go up slightly with the small block... and it'll be fast so it'll will be okay with ˟˟˟˟ty mpg
