I know this might sound like a retarded question. But I'm trying to find out how many inches of lift my truck has.

I've had it for about a year and a half, most of that time not running. I've done a lot of work on it.

I didn't ask when I bought it.

Do you just measure the blocks on the rear wheels?

 

Well basically, there are two types of lift. One: Suspension lift. i.e. longer shocks/coils, spacers, shackles. Or two: Body lift. i.e. blocks in between the frame rails and body (d'uh)lol. What you need to see is, do you have blocks? and/or susp. lift. Then you will be able to decipher what your looking at/for. Hope this helps.

I would measure the distance from the ground to the bottom of your body in a couple of places, and then compare these values with someone that has a stock version of the truck. You will then have a rough estimate, and you can look to see if you have blocks between your body and frame and measure those. That will give you a pretty good idea of what's going on.

 

If you measure the blocks in the back on the springs it will be close. The only other thing is if they added a add-a-leaf as well as the blocks. If it is ISF front I would bet they didn't as the average lift with blocks in the back is 4 inches. If you want more then that you should get proper springs instead of blocks.
