How much do you trust your truck

1993 V6 3.0 266k that doesn't run 100% correct (has a slight stutter at low rpm and low throttle) and I would still trust it. Had it offroad for close to 1k miles since I bought it in the spring and hasn't let me down. Keep an eye on your fluids and do it!

I mean I drive it to work daily. Where is the difference in trust if it's a cross country trip? Things break when cold, at at startup, etc?

I put abut 450 miles on mine last week between a couple trips to work and a road trip. The only thing that gave me concern was a flicker of the charge light. Of course it happened at the farthest point from home on the road trip!
So I'll check the alternator brushes and bearings and replace them if nearly dead and then the only unknown will be the age of the fuel pump.
So I guess my answer is I trust it quite a bit but still carry my cell phone and triple A+ card! (and some tools)

Imported my 4runner from Italy. Changed the entire cooling circuit and went straight back to italy on a Holiday. It was a 2000km trip. Crossing the alpes included. Not one problem.
