I just bought a 97 runner 3.4 auto SR5 with Leather and 224K. It has a stack of maint records 3 inches thick for 3500.00. I was the first on the scene with a long line in case I didn't show!! SCORE!! I'm still doing the dance of joy. Proud yota owner for the last 10 days.

1984-1988 Pickup
87000 on engine, 167000 on odometer
22R Carbureted (from 83 or 84)
5 Speed( No idea what year or engine it was originally attached to)
Stock but with winch bumper, garbage 8000 lb winch, 32inch BFGs on SR5 rims from a newer year.
$3500 Canadian( Rare to find one with good frame around here)

Since i bought it I had to put a 2 inch AAL/BJ spacer lift to stop the tires from rubbing, added a passenger side mirror, and in the process of switching bumpers and adding a rollbar

I paid $3,000 for mine.

1990 Toyota xtra cab p/u 2WD 3VZE automatic 150,xxx miles Excellent condition in & out. It had a freshly rebuilt trans, new brakes & new tires.

It was more then I wanted to pay for a small truck but I think it was worth every penny now that I've had it for a few months. I wouldn't sell it for $4,000 to be honest. I've seen what's out there for the same price. Besides these old Toyota's run for a long time.

In 2003 I bought a:
1998 Tacoma 4x4 RegCab 2.7, 5spd, 83,000 miles Bone Stock for $6500!!! Truck was totally clean and in perfect mechanical and physical shape.
6 years later I cant find one that cheap!!! Too bad it died

In 2008 I bought a:
1994 Pickup 4x4 ExtraCab 22re, 5spd, 62,000 miles for $4000 stock except for 32"s.
Truck was clean and mechanically immaculate but needed body work which I did (rust repair on bed, easy job and is at bay for now with herculiner and POR 15)

Paid $4000 for my 1998 4runner, two months ago. Everything is in the sig for that one.

Paid $1400 for a rust free, stock, and little beat up 1988 4runner. Then the timing chain fun started and replaced so another $500 ish, (just swiped the debit and called it good). It is waiting for me to finish gathering parts for the SAS.

Howdy, first post here, pickin up my first Toy today. Here's the stats.
The Good..
Red 1988 4Runner (base model) 192k on the ticker
22re (less than 5k on rebuilt)
5 Speed, shifts smooth
31" BFG Mudders (90% tread at least, OLD STYLE tread pattern!!!)
Aluminum Directional rims, also look new
The Bad....
Smittybuilt bumper folded under rear (just need to chain it up and yank it straight)
The tailgate got pushed in.
This was enough to total it.
The really good.....
No leaks, straight frame, ZERO rust and $1200 cash money, done deal...gonna be a happy camper at about ten this morning...

92 reg cab, I grabbed in Nov 08 for $500.00. Great deal, she ran a bit rough and popped an HG in Feb. Replaced the HG and cam...since I had it apart. Added 31X10.5 in early Jan. Replacing exhaust next weekend expanding to 2.25" and flowmaster. Still has a bit of cancer, need 2 fenders and front bumper. Frame and cab are solid as well as the bed, rear fenders need a bit of help but not real terrible. Still think I got a hell of a deal: $500 truck, HG Kit and cam $180 or so, 4 tires $350 about, Exhaust pipe free muffler $40. So everything for less than $2K I'm doing well!!! More to come as the extra cash builds... Pictures soon to come!!!

Pickup, Xtra, ext. cab Long-bed, $4000 @ dealer
3.0L V6, automatic, 4x4
Pretty Clean with 130k miles. Spun a bearing out of nowhere, never saw that coming. To fix it I plan on doing a 3.4L v6 5vz-fe swap. I'd also like a rear trd e-locker, front supra lsd, small lift 2", 33" BFG M/T, trd s/c, etc. Going to try to do the swap this summer so I can get it back on the road. I miss it so much.
Crappy celli pics.

Bought an 02 TRD Tacoma V6 4x4 Auto w/103k in 06 for $13,000 from a dealership.

Sold the Tacoma early this year out of desperation after losing my job.
Bought a 92 SR5 V6 4x4 Auto 4Runner about a month ago for $2300. It needs some work, but is rust free with only 117k miles on it. It is stock and will remain that way until some things in my life change. After owning the Taco, this 4Runner has some big shoes to fill.

92, 22re, 5sp, 4x4.

Paid $900 for the truck....

but I had to do some work right away, idler arm was bad, clutch was gone, clutch bracket was cracked (welded it back together), altenator went bad, the tires were shot, etc. etc. etc.

but after fixing all that she's runnin fine with minor problems, still need to do a couple of things, just about everything on the truck is stock so i kind of expected to put some money into it.

Just picked up another project today. Engine is in the back of my truck, obviously needing a rebuild, but not a big deal. Everything else is there that counts, axles, tranny, tcase, etc and no frame rust or rot...except for some booty fab welding on the front crossmember where the bumper used to be...but that can be fixed pretty easy too.

For $500 it was hard to pass up.

For now it will sit until other things are done, but it will turn into something eventually.
