How much can you cut out of 4runners rear wheel wells

how much can you cut out of the rear of a first gen runner without having to get into rebuilding the inside wheel humps and getting into the interior? trying to keep it low with minimal lift and fit a good sized tire. theres a lil rust sopt on the rear quarter and figured it would be better to just trim it than to try and fix it. I need to remove 2" around the entire opening to clear the rust.

Why don't you just do what I did?? Cut it out and then fiberglass, fiberbondo, bondo, prime, paint. mine looks like it never had a rust problem...Once you cut any of that metal around the fenderwell. you are wide open to the inside... just so ya know.

i can post my pics in a bit...

I am horrible at bodywork so trying to keep it to a minimum. thats why i was trying to find out how far you can cut before you get into any major rebuilding.
