I have the california version of this truck with both sensors and just had my INNOVA read code 27 with the comment "HO2S rear circuit"

I am not sure how to proceed from this point: How do I diagnosis what to do next after getting this code?

For one the rear sensor is very rusty (I have included the pic.) and judging from the comments above I am assuming I do not have enough information to go ahead and replace the sensor.

Someone quoted some steps involving driving, idling. Could you possibly clarify this? I did not get how you would confirm a problem with the sensor or not (I will read it again).

Thank You everyone and good luck to the original post!

Joe

Part Numbers...thanks

[QUOTE=scope103;52052120]According to RockAuto, the Denso 234-4052 is only for the NON-California 1992-95 pickup/4runner. For the California model, the Denso number for the downstream sensor is 234-4154.

Thanks!

What is supposed to happen during these steps to confirm it is a sensor or not? Forgive me if I am missing the obvious.

Thanks

Aloha All,

I know this is an old thread but im confused as to why why OBD 1 22re has two oxygen sensors on the exhaust. Keep in mind there is no cat on it. Here is a photo. Would like to replace both but i dont know if its both the same type of o2 sensors. if anyone can give me a lead as to where to purchase these and how to effectively remove them that would be great!

Mahalo and Happy New Year
Left sensor leads to headers. Right sensor leads to borla exhaust. no cat system
