Angry How to Jump terminals

So im new here and I dont know how this works, so if I am posting this in the wrong area, I applogize. So I have a 85 Toyota Pickup in which was converted to EFI from a 86 4 Runner harness. I am trying to check the check engine light code. I have the early version of the EFI. I know I have to jump the two terminals with a paper clip, but I am having a really hard time finding a picture of what holes I have to input the paper clip into. If anyone has a picture of what it looks like, please send it my way. Greatly appreciated.

used this link below to show me how to do it, but no picture involving the issue im having.

The pic is included in the link your provided, 2nd pic.

Flip off the cover of the data link, inside the cover is a legend so you know which hole is which. You put the jumper wire into Te1 and E1

hopefully this helps! good luck!

thats great, but if you read the article it states that the second picture is the later EFI system. I have the earlier system (85-87)...what i have is the 1st picture they show. but what they don't show is how they jump the earlier system...I wish I had the newer one it

Codes... http://4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/...es/index.shtml

How to get Check Engine Codes. I just put this up for others. Applies to 87 and up. 86 and older is the bottom picture. TE1/E1

The Diagnostic port for the 85-86 is on the Drivers side inner fender and is nothing the same as the 87 and up. Here is T1 and E1 jumped. The codes and engine flashes are the same as the rest of the trucks on the dash.

Here is how you do a Fuel Pump Bypass on the 85/86.
Jumper wire the Yellow Plug on Drivers side. ( Jumper wire should be in both contacts for testing, I just didnt have it in for picture purposes and mostly a referece for me at a later time.)

Fp +B Fuel Pump Test for 87 and newer. Use a paper clip for better results.
