how do i fix a high idle?

hello all.. i'm new to Toyota pickups, well working on them anyways.. i come from a Honda background and my car recently got stolen..so i picked up a 91 STD shortbed and i noticed the idle sounded as it were higher than normal, there is no tach so its hard to tell.. is there a screw or something i turn on the MAF to adjust the idle??

also, i was wondering if there is any performance upgrades for these.. like intake or header .. possibly a cam or something.. any info appreciated.. TIA

What engine do you have? If it's the 22RE 4-cylinder then there is a screw by the throttle body that you can turn to adjust the idle. If you still can't get the idle to lower when you have that screw turned all the way down, you may want to check your timing. If you have the 3.0 6-cylinder, then I don't know

The 3.0 also has an adjusting screw on the throttle body.

Here I found this which should help you no matter which engine you have:
