heres a link for some new shocks and bumpstops.

As for good traveling leafs i would also recomend the Alcan's or even All pro. The All pros are cheaper but i have had great flex out of mine.

Looks like someone cheated on fixing the rear sag. I really don't like that approach: http://www.gearinstalls.com/dc.htm
Like has been said, ditch the coils and replace those overload shocks with normal ones then go from there.

Does anyone have any pics of what my setup SHOULD look like, once I clean everything up?

But, I do have coils back there. I have a short coil with a bump stop under it and another one that goes around the shock (besides my leaf springs). Ck it out:

Also, what shocks should I look for? I don't want to go wheeling again until I get this fixed..also, I took off my anti sway bar and that helped the front, but are there any quick disconnects for a 1st gen? I saw some for a 2nd gen.
Thanks guys!

Even if you remove those coils and shocks and just put the right sized shocks in the stock position you will be flexing a lot more

Thats exactly what they are. They are meant for when you OVERLOAD a vehicle, like a cheap helper spring, but I've seen a lot of people put them on the back of sagging 4Runners and that's exactly why my FJ60 had them. They make the ride really rough, and rob 90% of any flex you could ever have.

Those shock mounts from bud built look pretty cool. Besides geting the shocks up and out of the way, will that set up give the truck more flex. Im going to be putting on 3in lift springs and maybe a 2in bl in the next couple weeks. Would it be worth getting a u bolt flip kit and that shock set up? I plan on running the bilstein 5100's. Sorry, didnt mean to hijack the post.
Thanks, Bryan

chevy's are they way to go, they flex WAY more than what is pictured, and they ride nice and soft too

for the total cost of doing a chevy swap, with a u-bolt flip and shock relocation it's one of the best set-ups. just in case your wondering a chevy sawp with the other two mods costs about $400, even cheaper if you kow someone who will wled it for free

So..leme get this straight.. Which options are available? Doing new leafs 'n shocks? or Chevy coil conversion & keep the same leaf springs, with shocks also?
Edit: So if I wana keep it IFS (which I do). Just get new leafs?

couple relatively simple temp fixes until u can lift the front.
play with the leaf combo. until it sits level.
shorter shackle (make one its pretty simple, can be done with hand tools, will take a while)
