I Took Lots of Pictures When Disassembling the Plenum on my 3.0 and I Know Where all of the Small Vacuum Lines go There are 6 Of Them. But, What I Can't Figure out is Where the Bigger 6 Hoses Go??? Everything is on the Passenger Side??? 2 of them are for the Power Steering Pump, One smells like Fuel "not for the Cold Start"and the other Three I am Guessing At any Help is Appreciated.

Thanks Godzilla, I have Everything back together and the Truck Is Running Like Crap I would Say it has a Miss to it. The whole Truck Shakes at Idle and the Acceleration is very grumbly It Seems Electrical to me But I Did'nt Touch any Electricals other then the Ground on the Back of the Plenum. there is only one Wire Going to that Ground Location Right????

It Seems the Vacuum Lines Work in Pairs.....the Power Steering Pump has Two Lines the Valve on the Fender Well Has Two lines Then There are the Two Left Over One Smells Like Gas and the other one I Can See where it Goes From my Pictures. Can Vacuum Lines make a Truck Run This Bad? I am Really Hitting the Panic Button It Seems like the Manifold is the Suction Side and the Tubes that Run underneath Do Nothing?????No Pressure or Suction I took 20 Pictures I just did'nt use Very Good Angles I Guess? When the Component has 2 Lines Does it matter if it Goes to the Manifold or the Rails underneath the Plenum?

vaccum lines are there for a reason. Especially on a ecm controlled vehicle. I really don't know anything about the 3.0, but if you have vacuum lines going to the wrong places, it can make it run like real crap. Rough idle, loss of power, rich or lean problems with fuel, ect. If it was me, I would try to find another rig with a 3.0 and compare the two hose routings. That would be really easy if possible. Good luck!

I am 90% Sure I have all of the Vacuum Hoses Back on Correctly. The Truck is Running a Little Funny it Breaks up a Little Bit Between 1200-2000 RPMs Idles Good, Makes Decent Power it Just Seems Like the Timing is Out of Whack a Little Bit. I have had a Couple of People Look at it. But, I think they are About as Mechanically Declined as I am "If Not Worse" A couple of Guys Came Over Last Night and they Swear Up and Down. When I Get a New Muffler it is Going to Run Like a Top "It Ran Fine/Smooth Before I took the Plenum Off" Just a Little Loud so I Don't Believe Them. We Removed the Tore Up Muffler and it Ran the Same???? Can a Tore Up/Removed Muffler make a Truck Run That bad??

This should give you some more ideas. Shows the lines under the intake and where they go as well.

Do you have a vacuum line diagram sticker on under your hood? Those are helpful as well. Make sure you have the lines connected to the right sides of the VSV's.
Some of those lines run auto 4WD diff (if equipped), idle up AC, idle up PS, emission systems... most of them just need a source of vacuum, and the exact connection is not critical... but original is best.
Leaks can be found by spraying starting fluid next to connections while engine is idling. Idle goes up, leak is present. Be careful though, starting fluid is very flammable. Just a little will find the leak if any are present.
I found labeling the lines with tape and matching number or symbols helps a lot at reassembly... for next time.

I Found My Problem While I had the Intake Plenum Off the Truck. I Shop Vac'd the Top of The Intake Manifold to Get the Gasket Pieces out of There and I Knocked the #1 Fuel Injector Plug Loose :pat: Good part About the Whole Thing! I Can Rip Off The Plenum and Put it all Back Together in about an Hour Now. I always was a Slow Learner. But, Once I learn it. I never Forget it!
Thanks for the Help Guys
