A bad weld will come off with some hammer and chisel work, A good weld and it'll still be there long after the other metal has broke/torn
There is a special tool, pipe cutter. If you canget your hands on the chain type they're much easier to work with in the cramped spaces.
You'll likely also need a flaring tool to get it all back together.

Find the first set of connectors toward the front of the truck that aren't welded and are forward of where you want to insert the new bits. Disconnect it, wiggle it out, cut it weld it and put it back. Might be a good idea to source some flanges so you don't have to pull all back out at some later date.

Yeah something like that. Mine is stock, solid all the way to the down pipe(left hand bit in the diagram). Fortunatly it's hating colorado and rusting out, by the time I get around to it it should come off with a little kick and tug
You can make those cuts with a hacksaw once it's on the bench easy enough also, but it's usually done with the pipe cutters.

Noooo
, why ruin a door to put in a speaker just get the size that fits.Door card 50-100$, Door 150-250. Then x2. You're hurting your resale value and offending purists
Bottom line I'd never cut a door panel much less the door. There are plenty of good 4" that will fit the factory dash speaker boxes.

And now to be helpful.. The 4runners have a pretty decent powered rear speaker setup, it's what I use in mine behind the seats. And a set of 5" fit in my dash with a little wiggling.
