I am having the low-idle/dies-at-stop-light problem so I have the throttle body off and am adjusting the TPS.

After fooling around with it, I came up with a few test sets of values here.

Which set do you think is best (I know tests 1 & 3 are almost identical)?
Can spec #2 be infinity?
Does spec #5 mean that my TPS is bad since it's out of range and non-adjustable?

I put it back on with the values in "test 3" column. Still a rough idle problem. So the problem has to be spec 2 or 5 being out of range, or something else entirely.

Any thoughts?

I give up. Since I can't dial it in and the nonadjustable value is off, I'm going to get a new one to completely eliminate it as a cause.

 

Just bought a new one. Same problems with the values. #5 still isn't within spec so I assume that there is that much margin for error when manufactured. Makes me not worry so much about the other numbers being off. Going to try out the new one and if that doesn't work, I'll return it, put the old one back on and eliminate it as the culprit.

Next will check the air flow meter and the coolant temp sensor. After that, probably EGR.

 

You might want to try upgrading your meter to something a little more expensive. The cheaper ones are always off a little, and this, as you see, can cause issues when testing.

 

I give up. Going to take it in for diagnosis after tirelessly working on the TPS to no avail. All values were in range except wide open and the nonadjustable test which were a little off.

Coolant temp sensor and air flow meter both OK. No vacuum leaks that I can detect. Opened the idle screw 1/2 turn to fix it temporarily. Sucks.
