I did i stethoscope sorta test with a long screwdriver and all the injectors were clicking and i pulled all the fuel injectors and they all look similar, would soaking them in injector cleaner for a day or 2 do the trick?

The other 5% is for the lucky few where the old anti-freeze etched a hole in the intake plenum....like what happened to my friend's 84 Yota.

DUDES!!!! you'll never guess what it was. The mass air flow sensor spring broke lol leaving the maf held wide open when it starts and telling the computer it would need more gas, hence the running rich and poorly, the maf had 430,000 miles on it

Okay, so I have been having some of these issues and have not been able to find a thread with the exact same issues/a solution.
My 1988 22re 4Runner began running rough/lopy the other day, I thought at first it might have been because it was a cold morning but it continued when I ran it at mid day in the heat. Later it began running hot(about half way on the meter) but I made it home before it over heated. I turned it off, let it cool, checked the coolant and found it extremely low. I topped off, burped the system, topped off and ran it again. Around this time it began puffing white smoke like a cuban cigar factory going up in flames. I checked the oil, NO milky/milk shake, just normal oil. Checked coolant tank, after burping and running it had noticeably gone down, no oil on top of coolant, no bubbles while the truck ran. Exhaust is whit as can be, like a fog machine, coolant was now dripping from the exhaust after it warmed up for about 2 minutes.
That's where I am at right now. I was going to start with some of the tests listed on here, coolant tested, compression test and vacuum test. I was wondering if anyone has heard of these symptoms before. I was thinking it was something on the intake side of the house, possibly not the HG since the oil is fine, no oil in coolant and no coolant in oil. Any suggestions? Thanks guys!
