Help removing 22RE
Hey, a friend and I are swapping out his 22RE for another 22RE. The truck is a 1986 with a manual transmission, all stock. I just need some basic steps for removing the engine. I'm mechanically inclined, and have done all my own work, but never attempted an engine swap, so I knew where to start, that would be ideal. I remember seeing a basic thread about this a long time ago, but after about 25 minutes of searching, I havent found anything yet.

Pull rad, fan and shroud
Remove all intake tube and battery
Remove exhaust bolts at flange to manifold, drop exhaust
Remove power steering lines from pump
Pull starter,
Unplug ECU and feed cable back through firewall,
Unplug all plugs for trans, and alternator (or remove alternator)
Undo all trans bolts (there is one that runs from front to back)
Pull coolent hoses off firewall
Undo engine mounts
Support transmission with something (I run a strap around the frame rails and cradle trans)
Yank out..........
Swap wiring over to new engine and install.

Let's see some photos!
Build up some good Karma and turn this into a "how to" for the next guy trying it out for the first time
Good luck - hope it goes smoothly!
