help please. gauge/ eletrical question
alright today i riped out the bottem half of my dash and the gauge cluster. i needed to lube the squeeky spedo cable. so riped everything apart and now i am planing on painting a couple things. when i was taking the gauge cluster apart i cracked the clear plastic cover that goes over the it. have googled it and cant seem to find one. where should i look? aslo where can i get gauge faces?
--ok now the big question. I have a 6 switch panel, a tach, and volt meter. and one day they all just stoped working. there is now fuse blown anywhere. im confused. this truck is a aux. wiring nightmare under the hood. i will take pics tomarrow.
-thanks everyone

i will tell you what i did. where the speedo comes out of the firewall and make the bend going to the trans, drill a 1/16" hole just a little ways up from the center of the bend, be careful not to go too far and hit the speedo cable. drill very slowly so as not to make a burr on the inside of the cable. i use aerosol grease, and spray in there. make sure the tube from can is tight against the cable housing, and give a couple of good blast. now get a piece of ribber hose and zip tie it over the hole to keep out the dirt out. repeat as needed

well, for the gauges you can get that face from any 89-95 pickup or 90-95 4runner. 3 or 6 gauge clusters, its all the same. i have an sr5 mechanical speedo cluster for parts if you need the clear cover. and for gauge faces, ebay has some of the el glow style. full glow (face glows, numbers dont) or reverse glow (numbers glow, face dont). switchable from green to blue glow. white face in the day.
