IMO, it would look great done up in white
with herculined rockers and black wheels.
I'd also say ditch the factory stripes altogether.
They really make the trucks look outdated.
Except for the tailgate lettering, which
is awesome

But, in all honesty, go with what you want.
It's your truck and you're gonna wanna paint it
in a color/design scheme that reflects your style sense
and compliments the other mods and highlights of your truck.

The one thing I will say is that you might wanna stay away from
black if you wheel this truck. The first trip out and it'll have
scratches galore.

Go back with the original color... i would dare to guess that the door jambs and other areas are still the original green. Is the time and money that you are going to sink in this project going to be worth it? Are you really going to get that much more out of it?

Yeah x2 on the wax. I wax my truck every 3 weeks, and I can see my reflection now .

Try a couple coats of wax with some elbow grease.
Might save you all that time and patience painting.

But if I were you I would do one of 3 options.
a)Wax it up a few times
b)Paint it red (you wont be able to tell it was painted so much)
c)Paint it white because that hides things better and looks nicer.

well as it sits with just bomb can it looks pretty trashy, its got every thing from deep scratches from the dogs to chips so i think by sanding it all down painting it nice i can get alot more out of it. its honestly not going to cost me much after adding every thing up it shouldint cost me 150 to 200 bucks not bad in the sense i would be able to sell her for at least 3250 than... i hope

I hate it when they do that. I have a Black 4Runner, and some of my friends decided it would be funny to draw a big sheriff's star, and the word "SHERIFF" on my hood. It won't even buff out.

But being the non vendictive person that I am, I didn't get mad, I got even. When they passed out later that night, they got the extreme makeover, sharpie edition. I also spraypainted one of their hands, and super glued some of their fingers together. Good times, Good Times.
