HELP with PAIR valve problems
How could the PAIR valve cause smoke issues?
Vacuum line blocked it will not puff one cloud not even a slight hint of smoke. But hook it back up and under a slight load its like a nasa engine test.

No that line is coming off the intake plenum on the black plastic 3 port. Im not sure the lines are correct but they went back where they came from what i can see. Likely they arent correct either from previous guys working on it.

Yeah, it sounds like it's simply not hooked up correctly at this point. The line off the intake plenum needs to go to one of the VSVs on the valve cover, you'll have to figure out which one, there is one VSV at the rear of the VC for the fuel pressure regulator, then there is a VSV for the AC and then this VSV for the PAIR.

So all the lines are correct. 1 had a pin hole in the side, cut that off and its done.
But it still smoked a little this afternoon as always when i backed up to turn around after running 5ish minutes it started smoking. Unplugged the vacuum off the PAIR and within a it stopped and within 2 all residual gone.

It would be an understandable problem if it smoked on start up or all the time but its only at a certain time and really just plumes out for a few minutes and its done.

While a photo IS worth more than a few words, these closeups can be tricky. So help us out.
I assume we're looking at ATF from the Power Steering pump, and what you found is a bad idle-up valve on the power steering pump. Yep, that would explain your symptoms!

Yes this is ATF from the power steering idle up valve. I just eliminated it all together. Went to parts house and got a M14x1.50 oil pan plug and an aluminum washer to block off the hole.
