I'm going to be painting my truck in a couple months (its BADLY in need of paint) as well as doing a couple other mods (Warn manual hubs, Downey soft top, TJM T17 front bumper). When thinking about the color my mind immediately went to the "Voodoo Blue" on the new FJ Cruiser or the "Speedway Blue" on the new Tacomas. My main question is about the hard top... should I do a color match or paint the top a brilliant white for that retro look? Just wondering what you guys thought.

I'm kinda diggin' on the blue w/ white top. Although I think some kind of white striping down the side would balance it out. Maybe something retro across the hood and down a front fender?

 

I like the all blue look.
there's a runner in town like that, with black rims, it looks amazing.

 

you need some white on the truck if you go with a white top.

personally i think you should paint the truck blue with a white top and then peel off the graphics so you still have them except they'll be white paint instead of the stickers .........that would look awesome!!!

 

im just not sure about that blue. looks a little, i dunno, sticky or something. cant rly explain it. lol. just dull.

 

if you live in cali make sure you dont get shot by some NORTH SIDER XIV because ya know blue=south 13 just a little warning!!

if you go blue i would go with a black top. Ive never seen any blue first gens with anything other than a black top. Always my favorite color next to all white.
