Help! Lack of power 3VZE

Recently pickep up a 94 4x4 3.0v6. Engine was running a little rough so i did a tune up changed spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Also cleaned the MAF sensor ran a little better but its lacks power up acceleration!!! Did a compression test 175 across all cylinders. Truck has no catayltic converter. Anybody else had this problem? I NEED HELP!!! Aloha from the 808 state!!!

no, hes being legit. lol

5speed or auto?

Honestly, the 3.0 is a dog. they dont do well matched with hills, and especially dont if its the auto transmission.

since you say lacks power, im assuming you have an auto.

If your against an engine swap(to a 3.4 or something else)/transmission swap(to a 5 speed)... regear.

Ya i know! I'm a parts counterperson for Napa and when my shops call about this engine i just chringe. They me about the head gaskets blowing, leaky vavle cover gaskets and poor gas mileage. It's a 5spd btw.

then downshift?

but yes, everything youve heard about this engine is correct. its the red headed, freckled, pale faced step child that toyota wants to hide in the closet.

You could regear, i love my 3.0 manual with 31's and 4.88's.

Good one bro! It runs but not the way it suppose to. Should i try to shoot timing and check fuel pressure?

hahahahaha.... sorry, my sister in law had the same question with hers, thought there was something wrong with the runner after her husband had been driving it for a while; nope, it's just a 3vze, hahahahaha

they suck in the power department..... and fuel economy too!

I still can't stop laughing at the title of this thread, sorry.... I hope you actually find something wrong so you get more power back and you're not just experiencing the 3.sloooooow.... if not, welcome to the club.... search 3.4 swap

well if you have a miss..then OBVIOUSLY something is wrong with that cylinder/spark plug/plug wire/cap.

didn't know it came with 31's stock..since almost all toyotas get 31's added to them lol.

easy way to find out..check the VIN!
