Help !!! JUST DID OIL CHANGE, TRUCK WONT RUN

Just did oil change on my 92 pick up 4x4 4cyl 5spd.. I did all the correct steps, put new oil and filter now my truck won't run.. it turns on and everything but it turns off ...if I keep my foot on the accelerator it won't turn off but as soon as I let it go it turns off... Plus, when I first changed the oil I let the engine run for about ten minutes and it was fine. Took it for a drive and at my first stop sign it turned off... Any insight on what it could be ??? Thanks guys

Depending on the engine you have and climate, 10W-30 is fine for most. Otherwise, what was the issue?

Prior to the oil change, i had adjusted the idle screw and i tightened it all the way LOL to fix the surging idle which i threaded with teflon tape, thats why it would turn off . Im such a dunce

No worries, I've been there. The main thing is that you figured it out and solved that issue so now it's running great.
