Help Identify Clunking Noise

Ok its on a 88 toyota pickup. Put in a 4" IFS lift in a it about 6 months ago. Everything has been fine, but recently during hard braking and or turning a hard clunking/popping noise comes from the front end. I think it comes from the drivers side, but i'm not positive. I checked all the bolts and they are all tight. This only happens during hard braking and hard turning. I can also feel it in the steering wheel when this happens. Any ideas on what it could be?? Has anyone had any problems like this??

Same thing happens on my '86, except it sounds like its coming from the passenger side when I turn left. I'd love to fix it but have no idea what it is...

Yep... I don't know what it is but my truck has also done this for about 8 years.

It's completely random and I can't duplicate it, but every once in a while I get a nice pop from the front end.

I was kind of thinking it might be front driveshaft clunk...

Check your bushings and u-joints, because that is a common problem with a lot of rigs. My Jeep has the same popping noise under turning and braking/turning.

Is it louder when you are braking or going from a stop?

I was looking at this thread right before I looked at this one here, so hopefully this will give you some answers.

Happy Trails!
