Help HOW do you plug the Transmission during Drive Shaft Removal
Hi
How do i plug the transmission when i pull out my drive shaft from the transmission i have 2wd
I would like a tip like something homemade will work or by just lifting the rear will that work

The driveshaft bolts onto a flange. There shouldn't be any plugging involved.

yes it does but on the other side (not the bolted one) maybe 2wd it slides in the trans at the sleeve yolk
pg. PR-7 in the fsm and they use a special plug for the trans

I don't think it is the same for autos. At least it wasn't with my moms 99 2wd.
When i had to pull her driveshaft to replace a u-joint. I simply parked with the truck on a slight incline, and didn't leak a drop.

I didn't have a problem with it, but im sure if it was dripping it would be fine to shove a rag in the hole( just be careful to not loose it in there if thats possible lol.)
Maybe now would be a good time to change the tranny fluid?
