Hello Everyone I need your help identifying the part pictured below. I would also like to know where it should be mounted. FYI this part goes to a 89 pickup 22r. Thanks for your help in advance.

Looks like the EGR Valve and it should go on the rear of the Plenum. Go to google images and look up EGR valve and compare it.

For a Diagram, go to the Factory Service Manual and go to page EG1−85

 

A/C idle up actuator?

 

The reason why I didn't show the location from which the part saw pulled was because I don't know where it was pulled from. My truck blew a head gasket a few weeks ago and my younger brother decided to remove the head while I was out of town. So now he doesn’t remember where he pulled it from, So I’m hoping someone can help me. Iceman4193 and YotawoRx thanks for the suggestions I will check them out. Thanks

 

Dashpot,choke opener,or fast idle cam breaker are the only possible things I can come up with.
