Help with bracket ID and location-1995 3.0 rebuild

Still working towards the completion of my 3.0 rebuild. This was my first time rebuilding an engine and Yotatech has been a massive help.

I need help ID'ing some brackets that I have in the parts bin that didn't get labeled for one reason or another. I'm just about ready to bolt up the air box and put the radiator back in then we'll be ready to fire it up.

Here are the brackets:

One or more of these must go to the tranny kickdown cable since there is currently nothing securing it. The others, I don't have a clue . Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

#4 is the brace from the block to the plenum (upper intake manifold) on the passenger side. #3 is the bracket that holds the transmission kick-down cable (to the throttle) that attaches to the top of #4. I don't recognize #1 and #2.

If you're as far along as you say, then you're going to need to back up a few steps in order to install #4. You can start the engine without it, but it is there for a reason.

Good luck!

#3 bolts to the side of the intake plenum right behind the egr. It holds the throttle or tranny cable.

#4 is a brace that supports the passenger side of the intake plenum. It bolts right behind the egr as well.

I'm not sure about #1 but I believe it bolts just above the oil pan on the drivers side. It supports the hose running back to the oil cooler.

I'm not exactly sure about #2 but I think it bolts to the drivers side head to support the spark plug wires.

As I said I'm not positive about the last 2 but that should give you a start. Take a look at the pics in the link in my sig. you might be able to see something.

good luck,
jason

Thanks for the input guys. I really appreciate it. The engine was pulled a little over a year ago so working of memory on these is a bit tough. I'll back track a little and get #3 and #4 installed.

Green: #1 is larger than the bracket that mounts above the oil pan with the oil cooler hose which I already installed. I'll check out your pics and see if I can spot it

Again thanks for the help. Getting answers to these sorts of questions has been a huge help.

Hmmm, is your truck an auto? Check the passenger side. There are a couple hoses that run to the rad to cool the auto. Other than that I don't know. I'll keep thinking on it and let you know if I figure it out.

I was in a similar boat with my truck. Was apart a long time and when it came time to put the power steering brackets back on I was lost.
