Heater hose help

I have search but can't find the answer. Which heater hose is the inlet on a 1994 4runner with the 3vze? I want to splice a fitting to do a backflush.

The inlet hose is the one with the heater valve plumbed into it,look at the bottom of
valve has heater control cable attached.
