Great Thank you !

Now a question. There are 2 Phillips head screws in the pic - if you unscrew them does the headlight wiring and stalk separate from the rest of the combo switch?
and
If so does the turn sig side do the same?

Thank you

We didn't unscrew the headlight stalk, but checking just now on my extra switch the turnsignal switch(lever) is held on by two screws and a flat male plastic appendage that slides into a slot.

So it sounds like the combo switch is a modular thing and you can replace the headlight portion (stalk et al) and/or the turn sig portion (stalk et al). That makes repairing one or the other a bit easier.

I'm just going to assume we're still talking about car parts here . . . right?

@L5wolvesf,yes the two phillips screws that are pictured and another one on the stalk..but there is a thick wire going to the stalk from the wiring harness whick I guess would have to be spliced onto a new headlight stalk...this is for a 1986 Toyota truck 4x4 2.4 regular cab..combo switch Toyota part number 84310-35180...don't know what other years it fits.
