Headlight issues

Hi Guys.... Got a headlight problem I need to fix asap as car is over rego.

94 Dual cab hilux petrol...

RHS head light doesn't switch to low beam but the LHS does and works fine.

Any ideas?

Relay?

Stalk?

Bulbs are brand new and all else is ok.

Or take it to an auto-elec?

Cheers!
Alex

unplug the RHS headlight and try a test light on it, possible ground issue or internal to the female plug. I had a similar issue a few trucks ago and it was the plug..

Crusha,

Did you try swapping the right and left headlight and see if the problem persists or moves with the light? It would be an easy way of telling if it is the light or the wiring...

I know that is easier said than done if you have it all buttoned up because those plastic grill clips are a pain and easy to break!

Hope this helps... Let us know what you figure out!
