Head Unit in a truck...

well i wanna put a head unit in my 93 reg. cab (build my own). has any one done this? my main question is there like a double layer in the roof that i can screw into with out going threw the top of the truck? post pics!!

So, are you trying to put in a head unit or an OverHead Mobile Video? Cause there's a big difference between the two. A head unit is quite easy and replaces a factory stereo, an OHMV is a whole other story.

I remember seeing overhead compartments that went across the cab and your visors bolted to the bottom of it, try J.C. Whitney.
