Thanks, I took the vacuum line off of the EGR valve and hooked up another to it to suck on... started her up and sucked and it definitely almost kills the engine, so I guess this means the EGR valve is functioning. Where do you guys get the little round filters for the EGR Modulator valve?

My carb doesn't really sound good while it's idling. It sounds really raspy like. Not a very pretty hissing sound at all. More like kind of crackley. Don't know how to describe it but it should sound like a nice smooth hiss. It doesn't. I think I'm going to put my spare carb on it now. It has the exact same number on the tag.

Put spare carb on and WOW what a difference. Runs very well now with lots of power. The idle is a little on the high side and wont come down, but the carb still has the plug in place. I imagine 750-900 rpm in the book is kind of high anyway.
It still has a little tiny bit of shakin at idle but it runs great now.

Did you guys catch that the Beck/Arnley head gasket, you know that one you can get at Rock, is MIJ? You should definitely use it.
