I just got done reading that 4.0 swap. Impressive and very expensive at the same time. With the money he spend I would rather just build up an 4th gen 4runner or 5th gen tacoma. Might be cheaper. The key about the 3.4 is the simplicity and cost effectiveness. 1200 for a radiator seems like a lot. My 3.4 alone was less than that. I do give the guy credit.

still to swap out the 3.0 for a 4.0 ,all i can tell ya is that i get 21 mg with the 3.0 and with the 4.0 i have gottten 28 mpg and thats been figured out by doing the numbers and also the 28 mpg was off the trip computer i also wrote down the gas and milage and it came out at 28 mpg on the nose, course i drive very conservatively.but the 4.0 has what i consider great off the ramp onto the highway safe kick, meaning i can get on the highway safely,we have a bunch of poorly designed cloverleafs locally and they ddont allow ya the time to pick it up with the 3.slow.the 4.0 has the guts to get it done and not kill my wallletat the pump.
