Has anyone had a Softopper top for a while?

I have searched the forum, and in the past year no one has posted any long term reviews of this top. I am sitting here with my finger on the trigger, thinking about ordering one, but they are pretty pricey so I would love to hear from someone who has been running one for a while.

I'm biased but I have had a CanBack, Soft Topper and now the ones I sell made for WabFab by Killer Toy Tops. My current top is by far the quietest, easiest to assemble and disassemble or take the sides off of any that I have owned. I've got one on my 88 now that you can come by and look at if you like.

I have had a soft topper for about 4 years and it has held up very well. It installed easy and fits very well. The material is pretty strong because i have not been nice to it while wheeling. I would buy another.

These things really keep the water out? And hold up to being parked outside? Would love on for the 87, but the trekker has taken its garage space.

I take it off nov-march. I have not got wet yet and my truck daily driven 250 miles a week. The windows are kinda hazy now but alot of that is from hitting brush wheeling.
I'm not going to tell you its a pot of gold just a well made soft top.

Mine were down cause it was cold. The sides and back window roll up and there is a full convertible feature that includes a boot. I'm in no way trying to compete against killer toy tops just telling it how it is.

Me too.
With my tops use can use the factory back glass also.
plus we make a cab divider to keep the cold out.
My only competition is do you deserve the best or settle for something else.
Does the other company even bother being a sponsor on any forum?

My softopper is great and doesn't hijack threads. I live in Washington. It keeps everything dry.

I was familiar with the great reputation of KTT and Can-Back, but did not know about Softopper. I really liked the boot cover and price of the ST'er so I wanted to find out about durability. Thanks for all the info. -Rick

Ya how bout that KTT joined 2012 . I found your site like 4 years ago and you were still $100 more than soft topper with windows ect kinda like now!

Hijackers get no love!

I love people who jump the gun.
KTT has sponsored this forum for years.
I bought the company in 2012.
The price has stayed the same for the full top for about 4 years.
Ever though I contacted many past owners to get feedback on what could be better about these tops, and made design changes to make them better with no price increase.
With the amount of labor involved and material costs rising I think I sell them at a fair price.
I posted on this post because I get calls every week from someone who doesn't know that we are back in business.
I drive a 86 4Runner on 35s ...call and ask the other company what year of 4Runner they own n drive.
I love these rides and make a great top for them.
Every top is fit on my truck to make sure its right before its sent out.
Call me.. the guy who makes every part of the top, and owns and drives a 4Runner and does this for the love of these Runners, or call for the low price.
your choice.

I love people who hijack threads to try to make a buck! If you were smart you would sit back and see what people thought about your competitors product and use that to your advantage to sell your product.

Not for nothing I had a slight issue with the directions on my soft topper install (me just being a dumbazz) and the guy i talked (4 years ago) to was very passionate about bringing the 1st gen 4runner soft top to the market and used his personal 4runner to make the proto type.

Like i said Hijackers get no love.
