If I were to ever get a VDUB I would definitely go with the TDI not the newer models but the old ones where the tranny doesn't blow up.

Love those old 80's GTIs (also the Jetta based GLI)... does anybody remeber the old Chuck Berry derived Commercial for the GTI? (besides me that is)
