Question Gun Rack For Yer 4Runner?

So where do yall put yer gun racks on 1st gen runners? Usually keep the sawed off under the passenger seat, but there's times when I have rifles or full length shotguns with me, and people in the back seat, so you caint just have em sittin on the back seats ya know? So what have yall came up with for mounting the goodies?

It really helps to keep down crime. People tend to get real courteous when you feed a 28.5" barreled benelli out yer truck window and into thiers. But nah, I use my truck when going hunting alot, that theres the main reason for having the gun rack (other than the previously mentioned reason lol).

I thought about mounting some in the rear side windows (but that requires a top). You could mount some on the back of the back seat or maybe rig up some kind of clamp system on the rollbar downtubes. For now mine just get packed into the cargo area.

Now that's an interesting idea. Rig up some little deal for the rollbars. Kinda like a motorcycle shotgun holster or something. Was thinking about makin a deal to screw up a rack into the roof of the cab, but not sure how well that would work, or even how to make it work. Would hate to have screws stickin out the top of the cab lol...

i had a rack for my f150 that mounts next to the passenger seat paralell with the center console. Only holds one gun but it is perfect doesnt get in the wya of anything and you can grab it fast...

Cabelas has abotu every rack you can get and after looking there is alot fo them i think woudl work well in a runner

i think it may just telescope out and stay from pressure. Something similari to cargo space/pet dividers.

Ahh... Caint stand those kind. Seriously, I doubt it could stay holding two heavy guns, bouncing up and down a dirt road.

well there is nothing saying that if it is only pressure held that you could not strenghten it with some sort of bracket or other modification. At least the unit is similair to what you want. Im sure it would be easy to mount it more securely on the rollbar uprights yet running parallel to the roof.
